Take the 31-Burpee Challenge!
<
Little known fact: May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. It was designated as such in 1983 by President Ronald Reagan. The goal back then, as it remains today, was to get Americans moving and improve their overall fitness levels and health.
We at Spartan generally find such contrived holidays pretty lame. Not this one. Our mission is also to get people off the couch. We want to educate and empower everyone to take control of their bodies, their minds, and their lives.
So here’s our May challenge to you: The 31-Burpee Challenge. Every day for the rest of the month, do at least 31 burpees a day. Take a picture or short video and post on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtag #31BurpeeChallenge. We’ll share the most, shall we say, creative executions across our social channels.
Why 31? As anyone who’s run a Spartan race knows, if you can’t complete an obstacle, you get sent to the penalty box and must complete 30 burpees before moving on. This being National Physical Fitness month and all, we think you’re one burpee better than that.
So what are you waiting for? Drop and give us 31.
