Introducing Agoge 007: The Great Wall of China
Agoge 007, set in Beijing, China, will be one of the most unique mental and physical challenges in history. Spartan has harnessed its team of endurance experts—and sought input from archaeologists and professional athletes—to bring you an experience of a lifetime.
Taking place exclusively on the Great Wall, the event takes participants across the most visually stunning and grueling expanses of the longest wall in the world. With the help of experts, participants will visit 600-year-old locations from the Ming Dynasty that few foreigners have the knowledge to see.
There are less than 50 spots remaining. Register before it’s too late.
Participants receive exclusive entry, transport to and from the remote event site, and a range of life-changing experiences during the 60-hour Agoge. You’ll hike, run, navigate, lift, haul, problem-solve, “wage war,” and see ancient history come to life.

More About China
Beijing. The 3,000-year-old capital is the host city for the Agoge, and the Regent Hotel is the event basecamp (discount rates available on registration). Beijing is the gateway to the Great Wall, where a ring of jagged mountains makes way to the sprawling grasslands of Mongolia. Home to the famous Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, and ancient courtyards and alleyways, Beijing promises adventure for both first-timers and return visitors.
People. One of the oldest civilizations in the world, China is home to 1.4 billion people. Northern China is home to various ethnic groups, and in addition to Han Chinese you’ll meet people descended from indigenous ethnic groups found in Mongolia, Central Asia, Siberia, and the Russian Far East. During the event, you’ll travel through wall building villages constructed centuries ago, where descendants of the original wall builders live to this day.
Food. Beijing is an ancient capital known for its countless restaurants serving authentic and affordable Chinese cuisine, including many healthy and vegetarian options. Feast on northern specialties like steamed dumplings, hand pulled noodles, northern-style hotpots, and Peking duck.
