California resident Regina Lopez placed first in the women’s 21K race.

In addition to the elite competition, racers participated in 10 competitive age group brackets and open heats for a shot at the podium.

The event ended the first season of Spartan Trail Presented by Altra, which attracted thousands of participants from the trail running and obstacle course racing communities. The series consisted of 12 races across America. Spartan Trail combines a classic approach to trail running with the Spartan ethos that millions around the globe have come to experience.
