The Word 'Hard' Is Relative to NFL Player-Turned-MBA Candidate Curt Maggitt
What defines you? Is it your origins? What you've overcome? What you've achieved? Who you are becoming?
By any measure, Curt Maggitt is a champion. We met Maggitt — a former NFL linebacker — at the inaugural Spartan Games™, presented by Harley-Davidson, where he left his comfort zone and tackled all kinds of new challenges. Maggitt took on everything from OCR courses to mountain biking to DEKA competitions to wrestling, all with a smile and an unrelenting drive.
But as challenging as it was, it was nothing he couldn't handle. After all, the term "hard" is relative to someone like him. The former University of Tennessee football star's childhood wasn't easy. His mother died when he was just 2 years old, leaving his father to raise and support three children.

"I've always told myself, 'Nothing I do in life will ever be hard compared to what my dad has done throughout his life,'" the 27-year-old reflected.
