Former BU ice hockey player Travis Roy was 11 seconds into his first shift on the ice when he crashed head first into the boards. The collision landed him in a wheelchair. However, that has not deterred Roy, who has gone on to have a successful philanthropic and public speaking career.
Roy says that there are some challenges that we choose, and other times the challenge chooses us. How we react in the face of that challenge shows who you are as a person.
